This November, the Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC) returns for its 21st edition at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, bringing together over 3,000 global leadersfrom the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Under the theme “Staying Ahead, Future Ready,” this year’s conference will focus on how the industry is navigating a fast-evolving risk environment, from increasing climate volatility and shifting macroeconomic conditions to the transformative impact of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Organized by the Singapore Reinsurers' Association (SRA), SIRC continues to grow its reputation as one of the world’s premier reinsurance events. At last year’s edition, over 88% of attendees were senior-level executives, with more than 70% traveling from overseas, underscoring the event’s global relevance and influence in shaping the future of risk financing.
This year’s gathering builds on the momentum of IFC’s engagement at the 2024 AIO Reinsurance Forum in Cairo, where we hosted a high-level lunch session alongside the AIO side event. Nearly 80 CEOs, regulators, and financial leaders came together to explore how insurance can support sustainable agriculture and strengthen food security across Africa. The event served not only as a platform for dialogue but also as a venue for new business opportunities, positioning IFC as a key player of innovation, investment, and resilience.
From Cairo to Singapore, the goal remains the same: to expand (re)insurance access in underserved markets, particularly where climate risks threaten those least equipped to cope. Across both our Investment and Advisory Services, IFC continues to champion inclusive insurance solutions that promote sustainable growth and build more resilient financial systems globally.
We’ll be sharing more about our participation at SIRC 2025 in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned!
